C\u2019est int\u00e9ressant parce qu\u2019en cachant son identit\u00e9, ses v\u00eatements re\u00e7oivent tout l\u2019attention! Cet automne, j\u2019ai eu la chance rencontrer Diane Kari, la parisienne du 18\u00e8me, pour d\u00e9couvrir son style de vivre, ses inspirations, et sa nouvelle collection de v\u00eatements qui s\u2019est lanc\u00e9 la semaine derni\u00e8re! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c0 la soir\u00e9e du lancement au mus\u00e9e de Montmartre, j\u2019ai pu toucher les mat\u00e9rielles avec mes propres mains. La douceur du gilet MARCELLE<\/a> et la texture du pull MARGUERITE<\/a> donne envie d\u2019une autre \u00e9poque. On adore l\u2019univers de Diane Kari car on est transport\u00e9 au milieu-si\u00e8cle soit par les meubles dans son appartement ou soit les coupes de ses v\u00eatements. De plus, elle s\u2019engage \u00e0 minimiser ses productions, \u00e9viter trop gaspiller des petites chutes de tissu, et mettre \u00e0 disposition un tote bag r\u00e9utilisable \u00e0 ses clients. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

🇺🇸 You may not know her by her face, which is often hidden behind her iPhone camera in front of a mirror, but you certainly know her style: high waisted pants, vintage sweaters, and mid-century patterns. In hiding her identity, her clothes receive all the attention! This autumn, I had the chance to meet Diane Kari, a native Parisian, to discover her way of life, her inspirations, and her new collection of clothing which launched last week! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the opening party at the Mus\u00e9e de Montmartre, I touched the materials with my own hands. The softness of the MARCELLE<\/a> cardigan and the texture of the MARGUERITE<\/a> sweater remind me of another decade. I love the Diane Kari universe because I\u2019m effortlessly transported to the mid-century: whether it\u2019s the caramel brown wood sideboard in her apartment, or the shape of her clothing. What\u2019s more, Diane is committed to minimizing her clothing production, avoiding the waste of little pieces of fabric, and giving a reusable tote bag to each of her clients. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

J\u2019ai toujours r\u00eav\u00e9 de lancer ma propre marque ! J\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 par cr\u00e9er mon shop vintage en ligne @fripouillevintage<\/a> et puis la suite logique \u00e9tait de lancer @dianekari<\/a> et c\u2019est fait \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qu’est-ce que c’est la th\u00e8me ou l’inspiration pour ta premi\u00e8re collection ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Je collectionnais depuis des ann\u00e9es des pi\u00e8ces vintage que je r\u00eavais de r\u00e9\u00e9diter au go\u00fbt du jour ! C\u2019est donc un placard inspir\u00e9 essentiellement de mes pi\u00e8ces vintage f\u00e9tiches ! Principalement de la maille et des jolies blouses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Est-ce que tu vas lancer des nouveaut\u00e9s souvent ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Oui ! Le concept est de proposer plusieurs collections par an, limiter les stocks et vendre en ligne exclusivement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si tu avais d\u00fb choisir une seule pi\u00e8ce de la collection qu’il faut absolument avoir, elle serait laquelle ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Le pantalon Patricia<\/a> ! C\u2019est mon chouchou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quelles sont tes \u00ab essentiels \u00bb garde de robe en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

C\u2019est le mien, Montmartre ! Parce que j\u2019y suis n\u00e9e, j\u2019ai tous mes rep\u00e8res ici et je vois le quartier se transformer ! C\u2019est mon petit village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, I always dreamed of launching my own brand ! I started by creating my online vintage shop @fripouillevintage<\/a> and then the logical next step was to launch @dianekari<\/a>, so I did it! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the theme or the inspiration for your first collection?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I have collected vintage pieces for many years that I dreamed of reissuing in the style of “today.” The collection is essentially inspired by my favorite vintage pieces. It is therefore a cupboard inspired essentially from my vintage fetish pieces! Mainly knits and pretty blouses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will you launch new pieces often?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Yes! The concept is to offer several collections each year of limited stock, and sold exclusively online. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you had to chose one piece from the collection that is absolutely necessary to have, which would it be?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Patricia<\/a> pant! It’s my baby. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are your general wardrobe essentials ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Vintage cardigans, a pretty trench, and a pair of boots!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are you from Paris ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Yes, I was born in Montmartre and I still live there !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is your favorite Parisian neighborhood ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It’s mine, Montmartre ! Because I was born here, I have all my bearings here and I watch as the neighborhood changes! It’s my little village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where are your favorite spots in this neighborhood?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I love going for drinks and snacks at Sunset and the Pimpin Caf\u00e9 for a brunch!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
