Last weekend I met up with Clara Prando<\/a>, a French girl with Spanish and Italian origins, who works in fashion PR in Paris. She showed me around her neighborhood in the western corner of Paris \u2013 the 16th arrondissement! Clara brought along her adorable dog, Napol\u00e9on, who couldn\u2019t resist rolling in every puddle he found during our stroll on an unusually hot spring day.<\/p>\n

Dis-moi ce que tu portes aujourd’hui! <\/h3>\n

Je porte une robe rouge, car c\u2019est ma couleur pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9e, \u00e0 pois, longueur midi et fendue. J\u2019ai choisi de l\u2019associer \u00e0 une paire de basket Adidas x Fiorucci histoire d\u2019\u00eatre f\u00e9minine mais pas trop. <\/p>\n

Qu’est-ce que tu fais ici \u00e0 Paris? <\/h3>\n

Je suis arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 Paris il y\u2019a bient\u00f4t 7 ans, maintenant je suis presque parisienne ! J\u2019ai d\u2019abord fait du mannequinat pendant 2 ans, ensuite j\u2019ai souhait\u00e9 reprendre mes \u00e9tudes pour un avenir plus certain ! Aujourd\u2019hui je suis attach\u00e9e de presse. Le reste du temps je profite de la vie accompagn\u00e9e de mon meilleur pote, mon chien Napol\u00e9on. <\/p>\n

As tu des conseils pour les gens qui veulent travailler dans la mode comme toi? <\/h3>\n

Je leur dirais \u00ab Changez d\u2019avis \u00bb ! Bon ok je plaisante… Simplement la plupart des personnes ext\u00e9rieures \u00e0 l\u2019univers de la mode pensent que c\u2019est uniquement strass et paillettes alors que…<\/p>\n

Comment d\u00e9cris-tu ton style? <\/h3>\n

Simple mais efficace, \u00e9clectique aussi. La plupart du temps je porte un jean Levi\u2019s 501 Vintage, un t-shirt basique, des Converse ou des bottines, mais je peux aussi tr\u00e8s bien craquer pour une petite robe courte et d\u00e9collet\u00e9e, c\u2019est beaucoup plus rare mais \u00e7a m\u2019arrive. Confortable, car quand tu es \u00e0 l\u2019aise dans tes pompes, comme on dit, c\u2019est ce qui fait toute la diff\u00e9rence. <\/p>\n

Quelles sont tes \u00ab essentiels \u00bb garde de robe?<\/h3>\n

Je vais me r\u00e9p\u00e9ter mais mes essentiels sont un jean Levi\u2019s 501 Vintage, un t-shirt blanc, des Converse, ou des bottines particuli\u00e8rement les Acne Studios, le mod\u00e8le Jensen et un trench, Burberry de pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence. Look a accessoiriser avec un mini sac griff\u00e9. Un mini sac, non pas parce que c\u2019est la mode, mais parce que j\u2019ai toujours d\u00e9test\u00e9 avoir un sac\u2026 alors plus il est petit, mieux c\u2019est. Ne me jugez pas! Pour ma d\u00e9fense, il parait qu\u2019Anna Wintour n\u2019en porte jamais non plus! <\/p>\n

Par dessus tout, mon essentiel, mon indispensable, c\u2019est le collier que je porte au quotidien, c\u2019est une croix en grenat que ma maman m\u2019a g\u00e9n\u00e9reusement donn\u00e9 lorsque je m\u2019appr\u00eatais \u00e0 affronter ma premi\u00e8re \u00e9preuve du bac. Depuis je ne l\u2019ai jamais quitt\u00e9. <\/p>\n

Quelles sont tes \u00ab essentiels \u00bb de beaut\u00e9? As tu des conseils pour la beaut\u00e9 fran\u00e7aise?<\/h3>\n

Ma peau ne supporte pas grand chose, j\u2019ach\u00e8te la plupart de mes produits de beaut\u00e9 en pharmacie, m\u00eame le maquillage. J\u2019avoue ais\u00e9ment que niveau routine beaut\u00e9 je ne suis pas la premi\u00e8re de la classe, je mets de la cr\u00e8me hydratante\u2026 de temps en temps\u2026 j\u2019ai un simple Brumisateur La Roche Posay<\/a> que j\u2019adore. Derni\u00e8rement, j\u2019ai d\u00e9couvert le rouleau de Jade, je le laisse au frigo toute la nuit et le matin je le fait rouler sur mon visage, je ne sais m\u00eame pas si je le fais bien ou si c\u2019est cens\u00e9 avoir un r\u00e9el r\u00e9sultat mais qu\u2019est-ce que \u00e7a fait du bien! <\/p>\n

Qu’est-ce que c’est le \u00ab style fran\u00e7ais \u00bb pour toi?<\/h3>\n

Le style \u00e0 la fran\u00e7aise c\u2019est une attitude, un \u00e9tat d\u2019esprit, des croissants et du caf\u00e9. Quelques cigarettes aussi. <\/p>\n

D\u00e9cris la tenue typique pour toi dans ces situations:<\/h3>\n

Un lundi au travail<\/strong>: Je vais devenir chiante avec mon jean Levi\u2019s je crois…<\/p>\n

Un samedi avec tes amis<\/strong>: Un Jean Lev… ok j\u2019arr\u00eate!<\/p>\n

La premi\u00e8re rencontre avec un amoureux potentiel<\/strong>: Petite robe noire!<\/p>\n

Une soir\u00e9e ou un d\u00eener sp\u00e9ciale<\/strong>: Tout d\u00e9pend de l\u2019endroit, je dirais une petite robe fine en soie R\u00e9alisation Par contrast\u00e9e par un blazer oversized histoire d\u2019\u00eatre un peu d\u00e9concertante, avec une paire de bottines \u00e0 talons.<\/p>\n

O\u00f9 (ou de qui) est-ce que tu trouves l’inspiration pour tes tenues? <\/h3>\n

Dans la rue, directement \u00e0 la source, c\u2019est l\u2019avantage d\u2019habiter \u00e0 Paris, on croise tellement de monde ! Autrement sur Instagram, ma pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9e c\u2019est Marie Von Behrens (@mvb) j\u2019adore son style et tout ce qu\u2019elle partage. <\/p>\n

D’o\u00f9 pr\u00e9f\u00e8res-tu faire du shopping \u00e0 Paris? (ou en France!)<\/h3>\n

J\u2019ach\u00e8te mes fameux jeans Levi\u2019s vintage chez Kiliwatch<\/strong> ou Episode<\/strong> en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral. J\u2019ai aussi chin\u00e9 mon trench Burberry dans une friperie trop styl\u00e9e \u00e0 Londres, mais j\u2019ai oubli\u00e9 le nom… Autrement beaucoup de mes t-shirts blanc viennent de chez Uniqlo<\/strong>. Pour le reste, on ne va pas se mentir, Inditex<\/strong> c\u2019est la vie. <\/p>\n

Qu’est-ce tu aimes le plus sur la vie \u00e0 Paris?<\/h3>\n

UberEats bien sur! Ils n\u2019ont pas \u00e7a dans ma province ! <\/p>\n

Ta meilleure copine vient \u00e0 Paris pour la journ\u00e9e. O\u00f9 l\u2019emm\u00e8nes-tu ?<\/h3>\n

D\u2019abord, petit d\u00e9jeuner \u00e0 la Gar\u00e7onni\u00e8re<\/strong>, c\u2019est une petite brasserie fran\u00e7aise sympathique \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de chez moi, ensuite on ira se balader \u00e0 Montmartre<\/strong> pour contempler la vue mais aussi les artistes et un peu le Sacr\u00e9 Coeur. Puis, on retournera dans le centre de Paris, sur l\u2019\u00eele Saint-Louis o\u00f9 tout \u00e0 l\u2019air plus calme, manger un burger au Saint-R\u00e9gis<\/strong>. On rentrera \u00e0 la maison et on ira promener Napol\u00e9on au parc Sainte-Perrine o\u00f9 l\u2019on profitera de notre apr\u00e8s-midi pour papoter. Le soir, on d\u00eenera chez Maison Sauvage<\/strong>, on ira boire un verre au Germain<\/strong> puis petite vir\u00e9e nocturne au Raspoutine<\/strong> pour danser toute la nuit ! <\/p>\n

Tell me about what you\u2019re wearing today!<\/h3>\n

I\u2019m wearing a red dress \u2013 it\u2019s my favorite color \u2013 with polka dots, a midi length, and a front slit. I chose to pair it with a pair of Adidas x Fiorucci sneakers to be feminine but not too much.<\/p>\n

What are you doing here in Paris?<\/h3>\n

I arrived in Paris about 7 years ago, now I’m almost Parisian! First, I did modeling for 2 years and then I decided to go back to school for more certainty. Today, I\u2019m a Today I am a publicist. Otherwise, I\u2019m just enjoying life with my best friend, my dog Napol\u00e9on.<\/p>\n

Do you have any advice for people who want to work in fashion?<\/h3>\n

I would tell them: Change your mind! Well, ok, I\u2019m joking… Just most people outside the fashion world think it’s only sparkles and glitter when really\u2026 it\u2019s not!<\/p>\n

How would you describe your style? <\/h3>\n

Simple but effective, and eclectic too! Mostly I wear vintage Levi’s 501 jeans, a basic t-shirt, and Converse or ankle boots, but I can also go for a low-cut, short dress \u2013 it\u2019s rare but it happens! Comfortable, because when you’re comfortable in your shoes, as they say, that’s what makes all the difference. <\/p>\n

What do you consider to be your wardrobe essentials? <\/h3>\n

I\u2019m going to repeat myself, but my essentials are my Levi\u2019s 501 vintage jeans, a white t-shirt, a pair of Converse or boots, particularly Acne Studios, the Jensen model, and a trench, preferably Burberry. I\u2019ll accessorize the look with a textured mini bag. A mini bag, not because it\u2019s in style\u2026 but because I\u2019ve always hated to carry a bag. So the smaller it is, the better! Don\u2019t judge. In my defense, it seems Anna Wintour never carries one either! <\/p>\n

Above all, my essential, my indispensable, is the necklace that I wear everyday! It\u2019s a garnet cross that my mother generously gave to me when I was preparing to take my baccalaur\u00e9at to graduate high school. Since then I never stopped wearing it! <\/p>\n

What do you consider to be your beauty essentials? Do you have any \u201cFrench beauty\u201d advice or tricks?<\/h3>\n

My skin doesn\u2019t tolerate a lot, I\u2019ve bought most of my beauty products from the pharmacy, even my make-up. I confess I don\u2019t have a first-class beauty routine! I put on hydrating cream from time to time. I have a simple La Roche Posay spray<\/a> that I adore. Recently, I discovered the Jade roller, which I leave in the fridge overnight, and in the morning I roll it on my face. I don\u2019t even know if I’m doing it right or if it’s supposed to have a certain result, but what it does feels good!<\/p>\n

What does \u201cFrench style\u201d mean to you?<\/h3>\n

The French style is an attitude, a state of mind, croissants and coffee. Some cigarettes too!<\/p>\n

Describe the typical outfit for you in these situations: <\/h3>\n

Monday at work<\/strong>: I’m going to bore you with my Levi’s jeans I think\u2026!<\/p>\n

Saturday with your friends<\/strong>: Levi\u2019s jeans! …Ok, I\u2019ll stop!<\/p>\n

On a first date<\/strong>: A little black dress<\/p>\n

A night out or special dinner<\/strong>: It depends on the place, I would say a little silk dress by R\u00e9alisation Par, contrasted with an oversized blazer to be a little unexpected, with a pair of heeled boots. <\/p>\n

Where, or from who, do you find inspiration for your outfits? <\/h3>\n

On the street, directly at the source \u2013 it\u2019s the advantage of living in Paris. You cross so many people! Otherwise, on Instagram, my favorite is Marie Von Behrens (@mvb). I love her style and everything she shares! <\/p>\n

Where do you prefer to go shopping in Paris or France? <\/h3>\n

I buy my famous vintage Levi\u2019s jeans at Kiliwatch<\/strong> or Episode<\/strong> in general. I also bought my Burberry trench in a really cool thrift shop in London, but I forgot the name… Otherwise, most of my white t-shirts come from Uniqlo<\/strong>. For the rest, I won\u2019t lie \u2013 Inditex<\/strong> is life!<\/p>\n

What do you love most about living in Paris? <\/h3>\n

UberEats of course! They don\u2019t have it where I\u2019m from! <\/p>\n

Your best friend comes to Paris for the day. Where do you take them?<\/h3>\n

First, breakfast at la Gar\u00e7onni\u00e8re<\/strong>, a little French brasserie next to my house. Then, we would go walking in Montmartre<\/strong> to take in the view but also the artists and a little bit the Sacr\u00e9-Coeur. Then we\u2019d return to the center of Paris, on the \u00cele Saint-Louis, where everything is calmer, and eat a burger at the Saint-R\u00e9gis<\/strong>. Then we\u2019d return back home and take my dog Napol\u00e9on to the Sainte-Perrine park where we could chat and enjoy the afternoon. At night, we\u2019d eat dinner at Maison Sauvage<\/strong> and have drinks at Germain<\/strong> with a little visit to Raspoutine<\/strong> to dance the night away!
